Quality First: Our Four-Stage Inspection Process

Huateng Metal Products (Dongguan) Co., Ltd.

For customers in Europe and North America, product quality is the very first thing they evaluate when choosing a machining partner. At Huateng Metal Products (Dongguan) Co., Ltd., we answer that expectation with a closed-loop quality management system built on ISO 9001 — a four-stage inspection process that runs from the moment raw material enters our factory until the moment finished parts are shipped.

Every order at Huateng moves through the same disciplined workflow: Incoming Material Inspection (IMI), First Article Inspection (FAI), In-Process Quality Control (IPQC) and Full Inspection (FI). Each stage is documented with data records, and customers receive photo and video updates tracking their order from prototype to mass production — so quality is not just promised, it is visible.

1 IQC

1. Incoming Material Inspection (IMI)

Quality starts with material. Raw materials are strictly inspected immediately after they arrive at the factory — including appearance, size, composition and related properties — to confirm that they fully meet drawing and specification requirements before any machining begins. Our engineers check every incoming batch against a process database covering more than 200 metal materials, so stainless steel, aluminum, titanium and other alloys are validated with the right parameters from day one.

This stage is the foundation of everything that follows: by rejecting non-conforming material at the gate, we stop defects before they enter production and protect the dimensional stability of every downstream process.

2 IPQC

2. First Article Inspection (FAI)

Before mass production starts, the first piece of every order is inspected to confirm that the production process is normal and capable. A full dimensional report is generated for the first article, verifying the tooling, program and process parameters before any further parts are made — potential issues are caught early, when they are still inexpensive to correct.

At Huateng, first article inspection is led by engineers with more than 10 years of machining experience, not only by QC inspectors. They review the drawing, validate the process plan and measure critical dimensions with precision equipment such as CMM (coordinate measuring machines) and profile projectors. The resulting FAI report is kept on file and shared with the customer for full transparency.

3. In-Process Quality Control (IPQC)

During production, our QC team patrols each process on the shop floor, checking parts against the drawing at defined intervals. The goal of in-process quality control is simple: find deviations and correct them in real time, before they can accumulate or travel to the next stage.

Process inspection records are maintained for every batch, and every adjustment is logged and followed up. This stage keeps quality stable across long production runs — exactly what customers need when thousands of identical parts must fit their assembly line without surprises.

4. Full Inspection (FI)

No part leaves Huateng without final verification. After completion, every product undergoes quality verification against the full drawing requirements — and 100% of key dimensions are re-measured before shipment, using CMM, profile projectors and other precision measuring equipment.

This final gate is backed by our one-year warranty and 100% outgoing inspection policy: if a quality issue is ever found, we rework or replace the parts without argument. Every order is also documented end to end — from prototype to mass production — with photos and videos, so customers can trace exactly how their parts were made and checked.

What This Quality System Means for Your Supply Chain

Our four-stage inspection process is supported by imported Japanese and German machine tools that are regularly calibrated and maintained, keeping key tolerances within ±0.001 mm. The result is absolute stability that reduces your incoming inspection workload and quality risk on your side — lower costs, fewer surprises and smoother production.

If you are sourcing CNC machined parts, metal stamping or wire-formed products and quality is your top priority, send us your drawings today. Our engineering team will review them and respond with a quotation within 8 hours.
